DOT REASONABLE SUSPICION TRAINING
This DOT Reasonable Suspicion training course offers
one-hour training on the specific, contemporaneous,
physical, behavioral, and performance indicators of probable
drug use; and one-hour of training on the specific,
contemporaneous, physical, behavioral, and performance
indicators of probable alcohol use. Therefore, this course
meets the requirements for programs requiring 2 hours of training.
This compliant training course will provide you with the necessary
tools and skills to make Reasonable Suspicion determinations
and meet various Department of Transportation (DOT) Agency
requirements for supervisor Reasonable Suspicion training
(signs and symptoms of alcohol misuse and drug abuse),
including the FMCSA Regulations, as well as several other
DOT agency requirements
DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING
Section 382.601 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
(FMCSRs) requires motor carriers to provide educational materials
explaining the alcohol and drug regulations to their drivers.
Motor carriers must also provide educational materials explaining
the motor carrier’s alcohol and drug policies and procedures.
This course helps satisfy these requirements as mandated by
the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor
Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
The course covers the eleven items required by the regulation
including alcohol and drug prohibitions, the types of tests required,
testing procedures, consequences of violating the prohibitions,
and the effects of alcohol abuse and drug use. It has also been
updated to include information about DOT drug and alcohol
clearinghouse effective January 6, 2020

DOT FMCSA CLEARINGHOUSE PROGRAM TESTING
• The United States Department of Transportation
(DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
(FMCSA) requires that covered organizations utilize
the FMCSA Clearinghouse to conduct queries on
driver history for previous employer violations, record
driver history, check records annually, and report
violations to the Clearinghouse when they occur.
While some of these responsibilities can be delegated
to a Third Party Administrator (TPA), the employer
retains full responsibility for compliance with the
regulations.
• The FMCSA Clearinghouse Training for Employers
course is designed to assist employers in every aspect
of the Clearinghouse process from registration to
limited queries, full queries, reporting violations, and
designating Third Party Administrators where applicable.
